The Community Foundation of West Texas offers a number of scholarships created through the generosity of individuals, families and businesses for which local area students can apply.
A community foundation is the one vehicle for charitable giving capable of benefiting the broadest range of philanthropic and civic interests in a specific geographic area.
Applications now being accepted for Mini-Grants for Teachers, a grant program for K-12 schools (public and private) in the South Plains area. Deadline to apply is June 15.
This program provides small grants to elementary and secondary school teachers to enable them to try out creative teaching techniques and buy enriching teaching materials not provided for in school budgets.
