Community Impact

The Lubbock Area Foundation works within the community to help make an impact in many ways. Whether it is through scholarships, grants, or special events, the impact can be felt throughout the South Plains area.

Community Endowment Challenge

The Community Endowment Challenge is a partnership between the Community Foundation of West Texas and the CHFoundation for the purpose of encouraging nonprofit organizations to build permanent endowments.

Hero’s Luncheon

Over a hundred years ago, a few determined men and women came here with little more than their names. Their hard work and determination prepared the way for generations to come and are the foundation on which the way of life we enjoy today is based. In every generation there are heroes who further the vision of those early pioneers-heroes like Gary Lawrence.

Fallen Hero’s Fund

The Lubbock Area Foundation has established the Fallen Heroes Fund to provide scholarship support for the dependent survivors of service men and women and first responders who have died in the line of duty since September 11, 2001.

Mini Grants for Teachers

The Mini-Grants for Teachers program brings together the resources of regional funders who have an interest in K-12 education. By working together, we are impacting the ability of educators to create meaningful learning experiences for children throughout the South Plains area.
